I'm gonna have to get sponsorships for these pics. ;)

Came home after being away all weekend and the big guy was on the edge of the forest. The buck that I think was the 4-pointer I had seen in the fall came out with him.

Big difference in size!

Todd,
Another great pic! Please keep them coming, it keeps me in the mood to get out there and keep trying. We have until the end of January here, but days like today aren't much good for hunting. We had light snow flurries and rapidly dropping temerature with gusty winds. I was out yesterday evening, but no movement before dark. Got up this morning and the wind soon convinced me to go to my shop and build a fire and spend the day working on calls  The weather here is tough for hunting because it may be 10F/-12C today and 45F/7C tomorrow.
Makes it tough to get acclimated to the colder days, and the warmer ones it's so muddy it's hard to travel. I'm hoping for some sustained below freezing weather for the late MZ season Dec. 27-31.

Hey Wabi,

I know what you mean about the weather. This is the first weekend I have not been out since October. We're getting -30c here tonight, -42c with wind chill and tomorrow it's warming up to-21c, -46c with wind. Do the deer move differently during the extreme cold?

I'm taking some time off for the holidays and I'll be out there on wednesday and thursday hoping to fill my tag. (Don't worry, I'll let Santa's deer walk if they pass under my stand)

Good Luck,
Nick

Sounds like a great topic for a new thread
I'll see if I can get some discussion going!
