What the heck!

Post by Boltejector »

I just called for information on the one Excalibur they had left at the store.
There was no model on the stock or the limbs. He had no idea what it was.
I am confused, on it you would think they would place this somewhere.
Thinkin of trading my Ten Point for it but it would be nice to know what the heck it is!

Any idears?

Is there some sort of limbs design that distinguish what it may be?
Is there ANYWAY to decipher the model?

A.) measure the length of the rail from the riser to the latch.

B.) look at the riser, is it a machined, anodized finish or cast, painted finish?

C.) look at the limb tips, are they carved or Magtip?

D.) is it brown, camo, or other? What camo?

E.) got a picture?

It is a Titan TL-4 and I have approx 600.00 into it.
I believe trading is maybe more prosperous.

Have the guy look for a name on the side of the rail nearest the trigger, all new models have the name tag there.

Older models have the name on the limbs, carved tip = older models, magtip newer models..

Weight of pull = 150lb Vixen, black or deer hide brown
" " " = 165lb Exocet older model carved tip limbs 15" rail
" " " = 175lb Exocet newer model magtip limbs 15.5" rail, camo or deer hide brown, riser machined on newer models

weight of pull = 185lb Exomag older models with either magtip or carved tip limbs. Rail length = 16"

Weight of pull = 200lbs magtip limbs, machined riser, rail = 16.5"

Best I can do at this time...

The plate above the trigger tells you the model. the mag tip looks like the bottom photo. 2001 newer.

Thanks for your help guys. I think a Ten Point and an Excal would be a nice 1 2 punch for stalking or instand.
