as far as energy sufficient to kill a deer is concerned,the exomax would be good out to a hundred yards......now a deer has good hearing and all,but,how loud is the exomax at 50 yds.? but for me,my scope is zeroed in at 20,30,40 and 50......would it be ethical to try to shoot 50 yds? what if godzillabuck with a 20pt rack walks by at 60yds? what should you expect from a typical distance shot? i guess the shot you make is contingent on how much effort you're willing put in to track and retrieve.......ok,enough of my senseless hypothetical babbling.i need to put more thought and research into muzzleloading........adios
