Hey TAC. My brother and I only saw one deer and no harvest. Your pictures were great ! Having not got one and seeing only the one, we looked forward to your posts. We all appreciated what you were doing.

TAC : Let me start by saying ... you have never done me wrong ... I had a good time at your place taking pictures of the deer ( a big time hobby of mine ) and was thankfull for your hospitality .

But I got to respond to this .... TAC wrote :
I've not left although I have just been lurking---I just don't have the desire to post. Stupid as it is, one person, plus the inability of Excalibur to prevent anonymous "guest" posts (with this thread being a prime example of what cowardly people post), has made me want to be a read-only user of this forum. Will that change? Maybe. Dunno right now.

The big buck is outside at least five or six times a day. Unfortunately I won't be posting any pics of him. I realise that some of you may think this is stupid, but the arrogance and lack of respect shown by Isis is the reason. I enjoyed posting them but him, plus a cowardly guest poster, ruined it. Sorry.
I know Keith ( aka Isis ) and trust me ... he never meant anything by the altered picture ! Keith is kind of handy with a picture edit program ( I can't remember the name of it ? ) ... he has done some editing for other members of the group ( taken out unwanted blood , branches etc. ) and the pictures turned out nicely !

Keith is a decent guy and I'm sure the purpose of his picture post was not to pi$$ you off .

You asked that he remove it and he did ! I was the one that gave him a heads up about your request ....

We all are made of different stuff ! Some guys post on here that they don't like guest posts ( I'm not fond of them either ) but Keith posted his feelings on the issue , didn't hide behind a guest name , he gets flamed anyhow, and you call it arrogance and lack of respect ??? I call it a difference of oppinion ! The picture is gone ! Blameing Excalibur for the inability to prevent anonymous "guest" posts ( which is more than likely a case of Excalibur being too dam busy to bother with such childish things ) and slagging a guy you don't even know for something that I believe was fairly harmless .... makes me shake my head !!

I have said before .... we have all kinds on this forum .... some upstanding , some " tightly wrapped " .... so take it with a grain of salt !

If you had a beef , it was with Keith ( aka Isis ) , and IMHO he made it right ! Going on about it and threatening withdrawl of pictures and future posts seems a little dramatic to me !

I personally have really enjoyed your pictures of the deer and the other nightime shots above your observatory etc. I also enjoy the 100's of photo's that other forum members post ( too many names to mention ! )

I don't see anybody else threatening to withhold ??

Now if sparkplug removes his signature photos of the many beautiful big racks .... I may get upset !!!

Bottom line : I think you are makeing more of it then it deserves ! Sorry we don't see eye to eye on this , but that's my $0.02 about it !

BTW I also post as guest sometimes but I type in " RJ not logged in " .... this way it keeps the number of e-mail responses to my work e-mail inbox down ..... no other reason . If I have something to say it will be signed on as R.J. or RJ not logged in ( I guess anybody could type that ) but who has time for those types of games

I have been tinkering a bit the past week with my Exomag. I used some burlap and spray painted it with green, black and tan to give, at least IMO, a decent camo look to it.

Again, thanks everyone for the sentiments.

Todd
I have it first hand from THE MAN (Bill T) that the guest problem will be solved.. They have been exceedingly busy selling and getting bows ready for shipment. The "guest" posting will go bye-bye.

Woody : Pretty sad state of affairs that we needed to bother them to take care of it for us !

Like they didn't have better things to do !! But I guess when you are in buisness , and you have " all kinds " of customers ... the squeaky wheel gets the grease !

That is very true..

Bill T actually brought up the "guest" issue when we were discussing the forum. The "porno" guest was the straw that broke the camel's back..

I also missed sparkplugs deer pics! I went back and saw them though.

BTW - I have met and hunted with Isis and I can state for sure he's a good fellow & he meant no harm with his post. FWIW

Woody : I can see that being an issue !

As I posted before :
If it is spam , foul language , ads from prositutes , ads from guys selling tabacco etc...... thats what the moderator has to deal with ! Not petty guests that get under our skin ...

RJ. I have changed my signature photo , I hope this one is more in line
I know you like taking pictures of deer and had some time at TAC"s trying to get that buck to pose.
I'm from the same area and feed the deer all winter and I have fun in the yard with them and try to get some so so pictures. I come no where close to photos as TAC does, he has an act for it. I know how he felt as been there done that, and it sets you back.

Coool Newws Wooody!
I am sure that there will be a way for the "you know who's" to find a way in, but at least some fools will be stifled by the register thing!
I have said before, and will maintain that some guest posts are very
troublesome.
Recently I found myself responding to a post that was presented by a guest. I wondered if I should reply, the fact that the topic was interesting and related to knowledge found in this forum, made it quite easy to respond!
I never knew, what exactly made Tac decide to step back but I would think that if there was a Guest Post that it would be silly for him to let that bother him!
Although I don't truly know Mike or R.J., I have had the pleasure of sharing time with them, and would say that if you "TAC" had a problem with Isis, it would seem that Isis did what you requested, by removing the edited photo!
If TAC wasn't happy with something that Isis said that is o.k, at least you know who Isis is! 1 of 900+
Point is come on back Todd!
You came into this this fall with a lot of questions, and a lot of answers from several members, at the same time you were warned about the posting of certain pics on a public forum, maybe you should have paid more heed to the warnings!
This is not a lecture, BTW Have Tractor Will Travel!
Talk us up would ya!
Enjoy the Harvest!

sparkplug : I believe I prefer your original signature pictures of those average models displaying those beauty whitetail racks !

The current signature picture clip may be considered a little risque '

Hey TAC,

Have you had any luck with your shed trap? Does the big lad still have both antlers?

Sparkplug,

I don't mind your signature picture, it's tastefully done and easy on the eyes.
