Another question on dissapator bars

Post by maddog »

Does any one know the effect of a dry fire with and without the bars? It seems to me that the bars might lesson the fracture effect of the limbs or other parts. Thanks!

Any dry fire with or without dbs may cause some damage, you may bend one or both bars, you may crack or split a limb and/or break a string. When ever you dry fire a xbow you should checl your bow out thoroughly for damage to the front end. It easier to replace apiece of the bow than cause an injury to your self or another person.
Many of us here have had a dry fire and not done any damage to our Excals, they are one tough bow. 8)
