Just bought an Exomag today with the variscope package. I can't wait to get out there and get some practice in before taking it up north for moose in August.
The first tip I was given today was to keep my fingers clear of the deck when shooting.
I know you all have some good experience and advice to share and I'd love to hear it.
Just keepin it real!
Thanks guys.

Give a kid a fish and they'll eat for a day, teach a kid to fish and they'll eat for a lifetime!
Welcome
IMO, as you chose an Excalibur your wisdom is fine
Keep your thumb and fingers below the rail....it smarts if you don't
Always IMMEDIATLY after cocking SET THE SAFETY
Ther are many more tips to share, but I'll close with ENJOY your crossbow

Thanks! So far so good!
Thanks for the tips...
I took it out on Thursday evening to a buddies place to sight it in.
Simply said... no sighting in required!
I fired several bolts from 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards and it puts that bolt right where you aim! (Of course I did not try to pull a Robin Hood and split a bolt)
Now to just wait another 48 days till moose hunting...
Someone mentioned to me that I should try have the bow cocked for 10 minutes or longer and then try re-shooting and the stretch in the bowstring may affect the shot....
Any takers on this info?

Your Emag should have a line across the rail an inch above the riser, this is your brace height, with a new string installed keep the string above the line by 1/4 " shoot till the string stretches and goes below the line take one end of tne string off and twist it till it stay above the line. When the string stops stretching kep the string 1/8 inch above the brace height line.
