Scent Attractants???

Post by Partikle »

Hey guys,

I was just wondering if any of you used scent attractants in past seasons and how successful they worked for you.

Last season I tried out some Tinks69 http://www.tinks69.com/tinks1.htm and found the results poor. The only time I saw a buck take a sniff was in my stand over an area where we feed corn. I watched a small 4 point buck eat for a while and then casually take a 3 second sniff at a scent canister I had hanging up. Then he went back to eating.

Has anyone had any good luck with Tinks or any other scent attractant?

Thanks,
Partikle

This is a good product.

The trick with urines is to know when to use the doe in heat and when to use the dominant buck and so forth.

Tinks 69

Post by tcthomas »

I've had some excellent results with Tinks 69 thru the years. I could probably identify 7-8 bucks that I have taken that were coming in on a string straight for the Tinks 69. Obviously there were others that may or may not been drawn in by it, and there were definitely others that showed no interest whatsoever.

As was already mentioned, the time of the rut cycle you use different lures has a lot to do with the deers apparent interest or lack thereof.
