Which State

Post by Farmer »

Got a fella at work who is dead set against crossbows/guns. I have told him there are a few states that now allow crossbows in the archery season. ( he is saying there is only Ohio , all the others are for gun season or by disabled permit ) I know Ohio allows them in the archery season, and I believe Arkansas. How many others allow crossbows in the archery season ???

Here's a map showing where they are allowed. It's not completely up to date but it's close. http://www.disabledrights.org/map.html

LOL. Add Wyoming twice. Proud of my state's stance on hunting. Wide open spaces, where PETA is an expletive. :o

Arkansas has allowed crossbows for any legal season since 1973.

Kentucky has added the crossbow as a legal means of taking game but not during archery season. Only muzzleloading and modern gun. Law was passed of Aug. 1st.

Most websites haven't updated current changes.

Start by writing your state senaters and represenatives as well as the commissioners that run your MNR and tell them you want crossbows to be admitted to archery season or at least for seniors and disabled.

I've written to other state politicians, get reminded they are in other states  . Was thinking more like joining, supporting a crossbow organization that represents folks in repressive states. Any such out there? National crossbow/archery outfits?
