Back into crossbows

Post by Blacksmith » Thu Jan 28, 2021 8:59 am

Hi, I am just getting back into Crossbow hunting after 20 years. A buddy gave me a Excaliber Wolverine. Ordered a new string and scope mount from Excaliber, [ Thanks Dawn]. Will appreciate any recommendations on arrow, broadheads, and scope selection. I want a scope I can dial to my bows power to make sighting in more percise. Any and all help greatly appreciated. I am near Kingston Ont to any Ontario shooters.

Thanks!

Think you'll do better if you repost under the crossbow hunting section.

I had an old wolverine a few years ago. I would talk to Excalibur about getting it checked out to be honest. Mine I was playing around with safety in a tree stand and the bow shot off. Excalibur wanted me to send them the bow and was told that they replaced parts that got worn in trigger from so many years of shooting. That was back before the company was sold. Just something to think about. CHEERS!

Thanks, I"ll look into it. Better to buy a new or new bow than have an issue.
