Only thing I could get to work was to copy and paste the address without the preface [img]. Anyway, all the albums I put up are public at
www.photobucket.com/willervin Some are quite dated. Appreciate your patience. Will

My first shot at a deer with my new Excalibur bagged me this trophy size Buck. He weighed 285 lbs and has 8 non typical points.
I tracked him until after dark and he was still standing, so I called it a night and then went out first thing in the morning to bring him in.
With all the rain we had been having in the area the ground was very muddy and made it too difficult for me to drag out of the field on my own so I went to my neighbour Jerome for help. Jerome also happens to be the dealer I bought the bow from. The buck was so heavy even the 2 of us couldn’t drag it out so we ended up cutting it in half. What a workout!
I get a good chuckle from friends when they hear I was out in the field sitting in my camp chair, bow across my lap, cigar in one hand and a Pepsi in the other when this buck started coming toward me.

2008 was the first year that I took a whitetail with a xbow. I borrowed this PSE Rattler from a next door neighbor to hunt with after a 20 foot fall from my treestand a week earlier. If it had not been for the kindness of my neighbor letting me borrow this crossbow I would have had to sit the rest of the 2008 season out due to shoulder and rib injuries. But as luck or fate would have it he fuled a fire that can't be put out now and led me to buying my phoenix. The first outing with the crossbow I took this fat doe. It was the most exciting hunt I had ever been on and that memory will last forever.
Thanks Billy

I don't think I ever posted this buck in the trophy room. It was my tagged out deer from this season.
