I'll do the first tale of woe.

Went out around lunch time today hoping to strike a lonely tom.
At the third set up I heard a response to my calling but it was faint.
A little bit later I heard yelping much closer so I got ready.
Within seconds he was on me at 9 yards looking at my hen and jake decoy,I reached up to turn on the camera......(BEEP) BUSTED
I fired at less than 9 yard as the bird tried to get away,I shot his beard off and he flew off with no beard and ruffled feathers and a good education.
I took a picture with my phone and I will try to post it if it will work,I dropped it in my coffe this morning.
What a day.

Here is my gun with the camera mounted

The camera on my gun you ask?
My wife has the SD card so no video.
I forgot I gave it to her for Easter pictures.

Sorry about the measurement photos. The tape wasn't all that legible and it was the best we could do..

Now the crossbow comes out and goes to Kentucky.. ;)

congrats Woody:) Awesome bird... I ended up scoring my smallest one in the contest of the year :( BTW, im finding its a PITA to get a picture measuring the beard unless you have someone else to take the pic.

Todays bird had the biggest spurs of any I have ever taken.. He would have scored the below

1 5/16ths + 1 5/16ths x 10 = 26.25
10inch beard x 2 = 20

46.25  compared to the one I entered that scored 38.5 so go figure

but here is the info on the last and final of the Va bag limit season

#3 of the season
11/87 12 gauge shotgun
12 yards
22 7/8ths pounds
1 5/16ths spurs
10inch beard

First mature tom, had a very long wait for him 11 hrs in the fenceline but worth it. 22lbs, 9 1/4" beard, 7/8" spurs both sides. Used my Extrema II with 3 1/2" federals, worked really good.
[img][/img]
9 1/4" beard a couple strands are 9 1/2"
