How accurate is the EXOMAX ?
exomax noise
Is there anything that can be done to reduce the Exomax noise? Mine sounds like a 410 shotgun going off.
Re: exomax noise
Putting a wood stock on will help, but most of the noise is because the stock is against your cheek when you shoot. The viberation is passed dirrectly into your hearing, just like the Dr's tunning forks when he checks out your hearing.popeye wrote:Is there anything that can be done to reduce the Exomax noise? Going with a heaver arrow will also quiet it some. Remember that everything you do other then the Dissapator Bars or the wood stock will slow down the arrow. With the Max and the speed of the arrow from it, unless the noise really bothers you, I would not worry about the noise.
Hope this helps.

My exo max groups 3-4 inches off the bench at 50 yds and could likely group tighter with a better shooter although I would not concider hunting deer at this range.
I blew a string after dozens of shots but was as new so suspected the bolt was not tight to the string, could this have caused it

Very happy with this bow but will likely add string mufflers to help quiet the bow as can afford a slight loss in speed.
