do i take the string off?
Correct. I forgot to mention that.Allan wrote:If you remove the string, I believe you are supposed to remove the pads on the dissipater bars. My bow doesn't have dissipater bars, but I believe I read this (perhaps here).

keeping the string on
After leaving my exomag strung for the first two months of deer season my impacts were four inches low. I have reset my scope and now unstring after each hunt. Its a pain but what else can I do? The video says keeping it strung all season is OK but now im not so sure. Do the limbs take a "set" after some time? my xbow is only a year old.
Re: keeping the string on
psc71 I believe that our problem is not with the bow or the limbs, but with a new string. Some strings take a litle while to reach their full stretch. Did you notice if the string changed where it sat on the rail compared to the markings there.psc71 wrote:After leaving my exomag strung for the first two months of deer season my impacts were four inches low. Many on here never take the string off for very extended periods of time with no ill effects.
Hope this helps you.

Tom,
I had the flemish fast flight on it. I did ensure the string was between the hash marks at all times. I bet I twisted that thing 2-5 turns every few months to keep it there. It kind of worried me, but my groups never opened up. this thing is a tack driver, even was when the impacts went low. I didnt chronograph it, so cant say as to whether the velocity changed. Maybe Ill do that after the season ends on Jan 31
Thanks Pete
