Plains Bison Hunt Tomorrow

Post by GREY OWL »

Heading out finally on my Buffalo Hunt tomorrow morning. Taking my Exomag #200 lb., Lazer II's tipped with 100 grain Slick Tricks. The bolts may be a little on the light side, but if worse gets to worse my guide will have a rifle for back-up. There's 3 bulls weighing about 1000 lbs. each.

Just got off the phone with the Outfitter, he said according to the 4 Wild Boar hunters on there right now, they haven't been able to get close to the Buffalo. By the end of the day there will be an animal on the ground, even if it means using the rifle. I want the meat badly.

Will send pictures when I get them.

Good bowhunters, have a way of getting close. That's what it is all about. Keep the wind in your face, and don't get trampled, and your trip wil be fine, I'm sure you'll "swank" a big Buffalo, They are so darn big, you'll have to build an addition for the mount. I'm sure the wife would rather have that Buffalo mount than a new stove or somethiing. Butcher

Countryrebel

Yes I got a big Buffalo at about 3:00 P.M. Saturday with my Exomag. Sending pictures a little later today.

Bushmaster

Bushmaster I'm hunting these Buffalo at the same place that I hunt Wild Boar. Its an absolute blast !!!

Mikew

Its always been a dream of mine, not only to shoot a Buffalo, but to hunt with a Xbow. Now combine the two...........................

The Butcher

I kept the wind in my face and I didn't get trampled, we didn't even have a rifle for back-up. As for the head mount, can't afford one, gave the Outfitter the head and cape.

PRB

Hey, if you come out here I would be only to glad to take you. Its just transporting all that meat way down south.

Livtahunt

It definetely was sweet taking down such a humongous animal with my Exomag. They have the most toughest hide of any North American animal PERIOD. I'll send pictures later.
