Those shafts are perfect. Try NAP Spitfires.

In that case, yes use the Shockwave broadheads. They'll work fine. Just double band them maybe.

I don't think he'll have to double band them if he's shooting a vixen? He should be OK with single bands.

I figured that, but I said maybe, cuz I'm not sure.

Maybe try testing them on a target with one band and see if they work okay single banded.

I don't think you can do any better than the 100 grain Slick Tricks ,for such a small broadhead they leave a nice entry and exit wound and they do fly like a field point-to each his own but the slicks are definitely a winner in my book.

I have used the Nap Shockwave in my Vixen Deluxe w/ 20" aluminum shafts.
They work just fine single banded for deer ( taken 2 with them) but I've switched to Nap Thunderheads and taken plenty of deer with them. I like the
idea of fixed blade broadheads and they fly just as good as the mechanicals
IMHO. I didn't like the small retractable blades on the mechanicals and the way they bent if you hit bone on a bad angle or missed completely. I pretty much got one kill per broadhead out of them. I might try these Slick Tricks
the guys have been talking about .

Have any of you guys used fixed 2 blade heads? I started using Zwickys for traditional (recurve and longbow) bowhunting and love em so I continued to use them for the crossbow. I've never had any flight issues, their cheap (about $3 each), and the're virtually indestructible. The one big critter I've been able to shoot with the crossbow (a cow elk) only lasted about 30 seconds with a 2 blade hole through its lungs so the lack of cutting surfaces doesn't seem to be a problem. Besides, I like the "tradition" of shooting a Zwickey and I like sharpening my own BHs. Anyone else here shoot traditional 2 blade BHs?

Buckbuster, are you asking about accuracy on the grim reaper or the 2 blade heads? My Zwickys seem as accurate as my field points. If I shoot well, they do too. In other words, they are more accurate than I am shooting off hand, which is a 5" circle at 30 yds. I'm sure using a bench rest and scope (I use peep sight and pin) one could do better, but I don't need any better than that for hunting.

I was asking about the accuracy of the two blade. I think that shooting in a 5 inch circle at thrity yards off hand is pretty accurate. But does anybody know if Grim Reaper Mechanicals are safe to shoot from a crossbow? Are they accurate? And have you ever had a problem with them?
Thanks,
Buckbuster
