Thermacell???

Post by peter p »

Does the thermacell mosquito repellant really work?
If any of you guys use it, can you tell me if it keeps the little buggers away.
I was in the bush last weekend and was getting eaten alive. There were so many mosquito's I had to get outa there.

Thanks

I own one and they do work. Still use some repellant though.

DON'T use them indoors though or you will cough your lungs up.

Here in Florida, i have put them through the test. They work GREAT.
They are less effective if there is any kind of breeze/wind.
One of the few products i have purchased that actually worked like
it should. (When it comes to repelling Bugs)

Much to my surprise, the one I bought a couple weeks ago definitely seemed to work in my blind. I was using a Gobbler Guillotine and had to keep my screen open or I wouldn't have bothered. I got nervous about what I was breathing in, though, and didn't leave it on for very long. The black flys weren't that bad.

And rightly so, they do have a warning on the product on use. They are good and do work really well. .... :D

Been using mine for over a year now, recently when I extended my patio size, and then when enjoying it during the evening.

Purchased their ThermaScent product but haven't tested that one yet, but if any indication of reliability of first one, second one should also do the job.

They work. Went to Bass Pro the other day and Thermacell has a new cheapie model out. No igniter you need a lighter to light it and the butane bottle is exposed. Screw it in for on and unscrew it for off. Came with 5 pads and 2 butane bottles all for $9.99.
