FLETCHING ARROWS

Post by SOUP »

FOLKS ,
I know this has been explained before..but how can you use the Bitzenburger jig to fletch your bolts that do not have a threaded insert ?
I bought the crossbow nock receiver for my jig but the arrows must be turning when I turn to put on the next feather because they are always a little off ( not 120-120-120 degrees )
I'm thinking I may go back to the nock receiver as it seem more positive.
I thank you in advance for your time & help . Seems like a very nice group on this site.

I do the same thing on my Biz, I went and got the biggest nock size and some field tips and glued them up. on the big nocks the field tip gose almost all the way up inside and centers it up, Then if Im doing raw shafts I just screw the tip in and put a piece of tape around the shaft and fletch or just screw the tip into the insert and tape and fletch. ~Dusty~

You can get them from gold tip or most anyplace that sells bolts. The real brass are much heavier than the alm for the front gives you more FOC. Some are brass coated alm. Checkout this sit at gold tip. It will give you a better idea of what you want. Hope this helps ya out
