O/T Salmon fishing

Post by Shakky »

In the past I have fished the Coldwater River but I was thinking about trying somewhere else closer to home. Anyone fish the Nottawasaga River? Its close by so I thought I would give it a try. I was thinking of the Angus area but I really don't know. Is there any place to launch a boat? Anyone wanting to try Coldwater just let me know I can give you info. on that.

We just went out to Lake Ontario from Bronte today and had amazing luck. We got 2 nice chinook's. One was 27lbs and the other was just under 20 and then we cought 7 rainbow with the largest being 13lbs...it was a great day!

closer to the mouth of river is better to launch boat (wasaga). i've had better luck in the Notty, i live 5 mins from the coldwater with no luck. if you have a boat that can be carried there is lots of spots to drop it in at angus. good luck.
