Shot Broadheads Today

Post by TScottW »

Finally shot some broadheads on my Excalibur Phoenix today. Never broke the Wasp SST's out of the box. The Muzzy 4 blade (last year's style not the Max-4) shot excellent at 20 and 30 yards. Made the dumb mistake of shooting at the same spot twice and cut two fletchings off of a bolt at 30 yards.

Since I also use the Muzzy 4 blade on my compound I know they perform well on a deer. Now to wait for the 16th and try not shoot any more fletchings

did you get about a three inch drop when you went to BH compared to field points? I got that on boith the Wasp SST and Muzzy three blades...just wondering if it was only me. I am shooting an Exomax...but get a similar drop from those BHs from my compound.

Actually the Muzzy 4 blade is shooting to the same point of aim as my field points.

If you want same POA accuracy as field points either the Slick Trick or Montec G5 is the way to go.

My 4 blade Muzzy's also fly the same as my field points.....no adjustment needed from my exocet 200.

That is really interesting...I shot the muzzys again today - and there is definately a drop. It would be within a kill zone - but it is about 2-3 inches...granted, I am not a perfect shot - so I will toss out an inch...but not up to three. ANd I am using arest - but in my yard I don't have the ability to use a proper bench...but it is good enough to show that I am off with the three blade muzzys.

As mentioned - same happens from my bow - and my buddy had the same from his compound yesterday afternoon...weird.
