Wal-Mart Targets
Was in Wal-Mart today, noticed that they have archery targets. They have a 4X4 block for feild tips and broadheads, and a bag target for feild points. They both say for compounds, and crossbows. Does anyone have experinence with these targets? They are both under $30.00. Are they good targets or trash. I have a exomax, will the target stop my arrows?
Take the money you would spend on that target go to a yard sale offer the lady $ 15.00 or $ 20.00 dallars for all the clothes they have on their table. Put those clothes in a feed bag get from a feed mill or a farmer stuff it full and tight with the clothes and sew or tie it closed. shoot away.
The bolt only go in about 6 or 8 inches and pull out with two fingers.

I have that 4x4 block one... after 1 year its fallin apart. If you shoot the same spot all the time, then you bullseye is gone. I bought the block 4X4 from cabelas this year so I reccomend you spend a extra 30-40bucks on something that lasts and you can pull arrows out of easy. Pulling bolts outta that walmart 4x4 sukked

we live and learn... you can spend 30bucks every year for a target, or spend 80 for one that will last ya 6-10years or your lifebstout wrote:Yep! A decent target cost money. I felt a little weird coughing up $79.95 for the Crossbow Block by Field Logic three years ago but I don't feel that way anymore. Its still in pretty good shape considering.crazyfarmer wrote: I reccomend you spend a extra 30-40bucks on something that lasts and you can pull arrows out of easy.

Morrell makes some nice targets though dont get me wrong, just I dsont think wally world carry's there better ones
Just to clarify, I was referring to the bag target which is only for field points. It has a picture of a deer with a mask on one side and a broadside with the vital area marked on the other. I haven't taken it apart, but believe its like my older bag target stuffed with something like nylon screen mesh. The hardest part about removing the arrows from the Walmart bag is from the polyester weave covering (which isn't much resistance). For $25.00 (US), I am pleased with the Walmart bag target's value, performance, and convenience.
The block type targets, which use friction to stop the arrows, have never worked well for me. They require alot of effort to pull the arrows out and are rough on the arrows. However, when shooting broadheads that's about the only choice available. I have no experience with the Walmart block type targets.

which block style did you shoot? My block 4x4 is broken in now and my 5 year old can pull the bolts out with one hand. If I shoot the compound bow at it, you can pull it out with your teeth. My first 20shots were hard to remove since the target was alittle stiff still I guess. But 50shots later and they drop out like butterxbow_stan wrote:Just to clarify, I was referring to the bag target which is only for field points.
