Hunter65, there was message thread on here the last week or so discussing using the tracker with the crossbow. I contributed several messages to it as I was interested in attaching it to my exocet. I did some testing of the tracker and the results were not all that promising. To test it I attached the tracker minus the mounting rod along the side of the rail as far forward as I could get it using duck tape. The first shot, the tracker string snapped as soon as I released the arrow. For the second shot I used a rubber band as a shock absorber betweeen the arrow and the string. This worked fine, only I'm concerned with how the rubber band will hold up going through the deer. For the third shot I left about two feet of slack hanging out of the tracker. At first I thought this shot failed also, but when I went to retrieve the arrow I found about 15 yds of string laying in a ball at the base of the target. It appears it worked all right but my tracker string was so old it balled up at the canister and snapped. Curiously, at 20 yds, the trajectory of all three shots was unaffected. I still haven't picked up a new string for my tracker so I haven't tried using it again. I'm undecided as to whether I will or not. If I was going to mount it I would use adhesive velcro to mount it just like I did with the ducktape, on the side of the rail as far forward as I can get it.

Hope this helps.
