Monster Ohio Buck

Post by Rich »

Image

My buddy forwarded this picture to me. He was home at a family reunion and was introduced to this guy. He killed the buck with a xbow somewhere south of Cleveland last week. I don't have any other info than this, just wanted to pass along a super picture. Maybe someone from Ohio knows more.

They are calling the deer"The Amish Buck".Apparently the amish in Holmes County have been keeping the sighting of the deer low key for the past 2 years.

When I read of the taking of the deer I was surprised that it was taken early in the season.Looks like a job well done for the happy archer :P

Sandman,

This not the Amish buck, this buck was killed this past weekend. The Amish buck was shot in early Sept. If you compare the pictures (do a search there is a previous post of the Amish buck), it is obvious they are not the same deer. Ohio has some big bucks.

Amish buck- Sept 30th, this buck Oct 20th according to date on picture. This buck does not have all the stickers like the AB. No doubt they are different.

Another nice buck from Ohio.
The "amish" buck was killed by an amish hunter in Adams County.

Wow...thats a huge deer....if I saw a buck like that while hunting I'd probably be shakin like a leaf.

I was up in Ohio Amish country just this past weekend around where the Amish buck was taken but I wasn't hunting, just camping with my girlfriend.

We left the camp at midnite to cruise the back country roads and see if we might spot some deer. I was driving really slow looking back in the fields in the moonlight when all of a sudden a big 8 pointer jumps a fence and is standing right in front of my truck with his back to us. He trots down the middle of the road with us following him in the headlights for about a minute then leaps the fence on the other side of the road and is gone as quick as he came. Gave me a little something to dream about that nite.

LOL.. im hoping that if one and from what i hear most bucks like that look like GOOD shooter 8-10pts... You dont see all the extra they have unless you have a scope or something on the rack. Cause if I saw that and ive been hunting for awhile and have some nice bucks mounted, i'd probably fall out the tree or shoot myself in the foot
