Here is the apple tree he was under about 10 mins earlier ...

I had to go to Pelee Island the next morning so I explained to CH what I had seen and the other doe activity ... looked like the rut was heating up in that area ...
CH stopped by there on Friday .... did some scouting ... found a solid runway , trimmed some shooting lanes and dropped off his gear ( climber etc. )
He went and parked the truck ... hiked back , climbed a tree he picked out earlier trimming branches on the way up ...
When he was 25 feet up he gave a grunt to cover his steps , and hung his Exomax and other misc gear , and started to put his video camera in place ... while he was doing this he accidently knocked his rattling antlers together ...
To make a long story short ... before he even had a chance to put an arrow into the rail , a 10 point was in at 15 yards ( looks like the son of a monster we have been trying to ground for a couple of seasons now )... he had to wait for the buck to put his head down behind a tree , then load an arrow ...
When the buck took another step , CH slapped the trigger of his Exomax and sent a 2219 with a 100 grain Wasp Boss on board thru him !
Perfect double lung and a 35 yard recovery !
He called me at Pelee Island .... I was suppose to be home Saturday early for some pictures but a storm blew in and we were delayed 2 days before we could leave the island ... CH got a few pic's on the way to the butcher ... here is one of them .

Congrat's Chris on your first 10 point ! .... good scouting , good set up , good shot !
