


I feel a climber is a hunter's best bet if he's a trophy/head hunter though, it allows him to move stands with the deers movement in the season if he's hunting for a rack

. I'm quite comfortable with my homemade ground blinds around blowdowns though, also 2 ladder stands that stay year round. This year I've also put up a eastman ground blind over a feeder that I believe will workout later. Then again there's only 2 of us hunting these properties.
I shot a doe at about 7 yds. from a blowdown blind with my Vixen last week with Buck urine for cover scent. It gets the hairs on the back of your neck to stand up when there that close. You just have to watch the wind and figure the deers movement hunting on the ground.
