European Comp. bows short arrows, and full claw/release it looked like.

On the China xbow looked as if there was no fletching, and only two feathers on the v-bow arrow :? not sure .... :D

that is match crossbow shooting where the competitiors can use the supporting rifle jackets and pants. Whacker of Switzerland makes some of the best bows. Some is shot at short range with real "bolts". The draw on these bows can be heavy though. Kneeling with slings can be part of that competition

In "Field Crossbow" governed by the IAU and WCSA the distances are out to 65M and you cannot wear any supportive garments. NO BOOTS that support the ankle and in the IAU you were limited to one thin belt. THe shirt or jacket cannot exceed a certain thickness either. All is shot standing (save for disabled) competitors with no slings either
