Cougar sighting in London
Another cougar was sighting in the back yard of a London home. This is not that far from the Onieda Res where they have been spotted in the past. Large deer population in that area of the city.

i am currious if that is London Ontario, i know that my mother saw a cougar accross the road from our house (between Hamilton and Caledonia) my father also saw one as well, however this was a couple years ago. I also recall an incident during the time there were alot of sightings arround here (again about two years ago) when we found half a deer 20' up a tree. No doubt it was a cougar.

Howdy neighbour!! I haven't seen it yet eitherkorey99 wrote:Yeah, that's about two streets over from me....and I'm on the "highly skeptical" bandwagon....likely another dog sighting....there have yet to be any substantiated reports, such as a photo...
I will agree though....lots of deer in this area....and as a hunter, I am NOT complaining!

Well, sounds like BS, but i guess anythings possible. But why Byron? Must be those skiers. Another thing they didnt include was pictures of paw prints, surely thats the only way to rule out a hoax.
Edit: 'Authorities say anyone who sees a cougar should avoid the animal'
You know theres some stupid people around when they have to put that in the paper.

There are mountain lions in Ohio. Someone hit one with a car not too long ago.
Edit: Update, A friend told me this the other day, not sure I believe him. I looked on the Internet for a source and could not find one. So disregard please.

A hunting buddy of mine saw a couger in Niagara several years ago. He had the opportunity to shoot it but he passed on the shot. The C.O. who responded to the scene told him that he should have shot it because such sightings are not wild cougers; they are escaped pets, they don't belong here and they pose a danger to the public.

not that far from me really either. hopefully it migrates towards the bog and cleans some of those deer out. lets see the crazy lady on riverside drive complain about the deer population then and how cruel hunting is .
