My father and I are planning to purchase two new bows this summer. We're willing to pay for the best, but want the right bow for the environment. We hunt with climbing treestands in pretty thick cover...usually with an open shot of only 20 yards. Anything beyond that...there's a high risk we'll hit a limb, bush, tree, etc...only a couple of shooting lanes.
We need a bow we can easily move around with in our stand.
I'd like to get your advice/thoughts on which Excalibur we should purchase?
Thanks.
Advice on which bow to purchase...

a happy middle would be the exocet 200.. if you want the baddest and fastest then get the exomag but thats overkill if you plan on hunting deer. The phoenix will do the trick also and is a little cheaper then the other 2.
one prob with xbows is that they do take up some space in the stand. The excals are a tad wider then most of the compund xbows though. But they have the best bang for the buck if you ask me and excals service is second to NONE!
If you want a happy middle, try the exocet 200:)
I got mine last year and I love it!

The Vixen would be A-OK, however I am with crazyfarmer and feel the Exocet 200LB would be the better choice also called the Equinox if you should like the thumb hole style stock ....crazyfarmer wrote:a happy middle would be the exocet 200.. if you want the baddest and fastest then get the exomag but thats overkill if you plan on hunting deer. Vixen is a nice small bow, but rather slow compared to the larger models
Phoenix is a VERY well rounded bow... although perhaps lacking a tad in velocity
Exocet or Vortex are wonderful bows! a great comprise between speed and size.
Exomax or Equinox are the highest poundage models available, and offer the highest speeds, and flattest trajectory. although they may be a little large for your needs.
