What do you use for a seat?
I've been shopping for a new chair or stool, and just haven't found anything that really strikes me as effecient. I've tried everything from a plastic lawn chair to a 3-legged stool, and nothing has really suited me yet. Seems like if it's comfortable - it squeaks, and if it's silent - it's like setting a rock! (I'm not as young as I once was, and a numb, cold butt sure makes me miserable)
Looking at the 3-legged stools with a back rest in Cabela's, but concerned they will probably sink in the ground with weight on them, and squeak if you move.
Any suggestions?????????
Wabi, I use a office chair set on a part of a sheet of plywood. But my stand stays in the same place most of the time. And when I am froce to move it I get a little help , seeing I have one weak arm and a bad neck. I also shoot off of a tripod it keeps it from sinking into the ground. But you may try a little outdoor carpet . Good luck.

Wabi, I have also been hunting the perfect stool and the clostest thing I found to it was a coleman woodsman with a plastic back rest and a cloth seat, it was stolden with my blind 2 years ago and i cannot find one with the solid backrest I bought one with a cloth backrest and it is noisey.
I am going to make a solid backrest for it before hunting season
My wife and I just bought a couple of chairs for inside our blind. one has a storage compartment and a insulated cooler for coffee an Such. We hunt together most of the time so we can video. Mine is chair that can hold my big butt and is very comfortable and they won't sink into the ground. These are made by ALPS and sold by Sportsman Warehouse. I had to have acomfortable chair because of back problems. My wife has a problem with getting cold so she bought a Hot BUNS warmer you sit on.
Wabi: I got this from Amereistep, best I've ever had and real comfortable. think it was like $25 a few years ago.

in my turkey blind i use a green plastic chair,,,,,,deer a short legged fold up folding chair it is so comfortable i take a nap quiet often, perfect for crossbow,it also has leg support, it has a strap just put over your sholder carrys very good.
I use a small four leg folding chair. Just like those normal size folding camping ones but half the size and with no armes. It is very comfortable. Less then $20.00. I didn't find those three leg ones comfortable.

I use one that sounds similar to the on hikerman uses. Picked it up at Canadian Tire a couple of years ago on sale,,, I think I paid 10.00 for it. camo,no arms, a back rest a small poch on the back, 4 legs... comfortable ... Better than the 3 legged stool seat I was using... the back can't do that anymore
