I shot this Bear Sat afternoon. He came in right under my tree and he smelt me and decided to climb up to investigate. When he got half way up the tree i was in I let him know I was there. He got out of the tree real quick and I shot him as he left in a hurry. He weighed 187 field dressed. It was by far the scariest hunt I have ever been on. The mistake I made was i walked to the bait first to check if it was hit. And the scent was on my boots as I climbed the shttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v181/catcher/DSCF0728.jpgtand.

congrats, alot of bears get a wiff of something anyway, and will investigate  good job on not panicking and ruining your hunt. I keep an extra arrow beside me to give em a tap on the nose. Even a slight foot movement will have em heading down in a hurry. Congrats again on a nice bear.
