URGENT: PRAYERS NEEDED FOR FELLOW HUNTER
Hey, Ya'll ...
I would appreciate it if you'd be willing to pray for this man, and I know his family and friends will appreciate it too.
His name is Kenny Moran. He was driving his truck along a drainage canal in the Alligator section of Tyrrell County when he hit some loose sand and overturned the truck into the canal. Even though it is very dry around here, this canal still had water in it, as Alligator is a low area. He was hurt and trapped ... he couldn't get out and the truck quickly filled with water. He did have enough air to breath (a couple of inches up near the floorboard) ... but just barely; he had to jam his nose up against a depression that was under the gas pedal to get enough. He was mostly submerged and trapped for three hours. His brother David came along and found him and dived in ... couldn't get him out and had disabled his cell-phone (forgotten in his pocket), so they had to drive all the way out of the hunt-club property to get help, and all the way back. Volunteer firemen used a hydraulic tool to open the truck up and get him out.
Kenny is on full life support in an induced coma at Pitt Memorial in Greenville, NC. They say there is a 72 hour window of opportunity for survival. The worst damage is from his breathing heavy oil and gas fumes in that oxygen-restricted space for so long. His lungs are badly damaged, and there may be brain damage. The doctors offer no hope, but aren't ruling a recovery out either.
I believe prayer makes a difference, and I've seen a number of supposedly "hopeless" situations turn out favorably ... "against all odds" ... as the doctors like to say. I don't think God plays the odds, and I believe he's in control.
So pray, ya'll ... please? For His will first, and for Kenny's possible recovery.
Thanks so much.
I'll tell those involved about your support tonight at evening meeting.
Adam

Tell his Family to hold tight.
I do not like to hear about sad stories from fellow hunters. But I believe that the "Power of Support" is key to making bad things better.
My thoughts are with him and his Family.

You got it GRIZZ.
I will fast for him and his family and put him on our prayer list.
Cling to the Father Kenny for only He is the great physician.
