back from Alberta

Post by catcher »

Got back from my trip from Alberta on the 18th. I saw 61 deer in 4 days.I shot a doe on the last day. I only saw one buck the hole time. I passed on him because it was the first twenty minutes in the hunt. I wish I did not pass on him now but you never know. It was really mild and the locals were also complaining about no bucks. Half the time I had short sleeve shirts on.Saw lots of neat things. Like a big Elk rub. Bear sign was everywhere. The pictures are Elk Rub. Bear track. Wolf track. Cougar track. Deer I shot. And location where I shot the deer. On that Picture you can see on the right where the deer were jumping over the fence and the grass is turned to mud from the hooves. But it was an excellent trip and recomend people to visit that part of the world.

Congrats on your deer and on having a good time out west!

Where in Alberta where you?

Don't you just love all the cut-lines everywhere? It's different hunting out there!

I was hunting near Grande Prairie. The picture of the wolf track somehow ended up beside the bear track. You have to move over on your screen to see it. I was hunting in area 356 and 357 if you are familar with there system in Alberta.

Good stuff.
I hunted bear and deer 10 years ago north of Peace River,
It is called Worsley.

Yup, sure is a great place to hunt. :D I'm hoping to be in the Lac La Biche area in a few weeks after some freezer does.
