removing ferrules

What is the best way to remove ferrules from the back of carbob bolts?
I'm having a heck of a time with it.

I use a heat gun set on LO. heat while turning the arrow, shen you get a whip of vapor grab with pliers and pull out.

I've never been able to remove inserts that were put in with Cyanoacrylate glue that was applied properly. I've had some success with epoxy glues by heating a field tip screwed in. There is a fine line between success and damaging the shaft.
