I have not been on this site in a couple of years and I have been receiving emails to post a pic of the Monster Buck that was harvested in Belleville this past hunting season. I have received emails from members on this forum and they felt that this buck would be of interest to everyone on here. Hope you enjoy it and dream of harvesting one in years to come. A Belleville resident was deer hunting during the shotgun hunt and harvested a dream come true for many deer hunters. His name is Mark Sorge and he took this fine specimen a 23 point buck that is now officially scored for the Boone and Crockett record book as well as FROW the Ontario record book. The buck scored an impressive 240.0 points and is officially the # 2 buck of all time in Ontario. Carra Outdoor Sports mounted this buck and it is on display at our store for a couple of months. If you are interested in viewing him and are in the area come on in and I am sure you will be impressed by this magnificent creature. I have attached a quick pic.
Regards,
Sam

I have seen this buck at Sam's store, when I dropped off my buck for mounting I held this massive rack in my hands and seen the finished mount in person and let me tell ya the pic does not do it justice you realy have to see it in person to apreciate this massive rack, its unbelievable. You don't see many world class deer like this in Ontario. If you like antlers and live in the area of Belleville its well worth seeing in person, 200+ inchers don't come along very often.

Great buck. If this is the same Sam that had Carra's in Burlington? I'd just like to say, sorry it wasen't a success. You had an impressive supply of quality gear and I miss going into a hunting and fishing store and being able to talk to someone who walks the walk. Guess I'll just have to save up my $$$ for when I'm passing through Belleville.
I have seen this buck at Sam's store a few times and man it is what dreams are made of. What you really can not tell from the pic is that on each main beam there were drop tines that were broke off and they have good diameter to the stubs. They would have dropped down at least 6 to 8 inches. Sam did a excellent job on the mount and after seeing his work first hand I would definetly recomend him for the job. He is a good man and will bend over backwards for you.

I do believe it is Sam from Burlington. I tried finding his store last year, but couldn't.
Good to know that he is in business again.
You can take the man out of the woods but you can't take the woods out of the man.
