Sorry for so many questions. Yall are gonna get sick of me on this forum ha ha. I have wanted a crossbow for some time and now I finally have one. I am goin crossbow crazy.
So here is my final setup for arrows before I get them made. Can you check the FOC without actually having the arrow? There are not any dealers close to where I live that carry much crossbow stuff. So I don't want to order 50 dollars worth of arrows just to find out they wont shoot well.
GT Laser II bolts = 7.3 gr/inch (20") = 146 gr
Brass inserts = 90 gr
aluminum knocks = 18.5 gr
2 inch blazer vanes (6 gr * 3 vanes) = 18 gr
arrow wrap (this is an estimate) = 10 gr
100 gr Montec 3 blade fixed broadhead = 100 gr
total grains per arrow 382.5 grains per arrow
Does anyone know if my FOC will be ok for this setup?
I read where it should be between 8 and 15. Is it better to have a higher FOC?
Thanks for any info guys, just dont want to spend 50 bucks and find out they wont shoot well.

So what FOC do yall recommend? Is it the higher the better? What is the 8-15 range for?
With regular aluminum inserts that are 31 grains I am getting a FOC of 14
With the brass inserts I am getting around 19. According to the following site
http://www.goldtip.com/calculators/foc.asp
I added 10 grains to the fletching weight for the wrap. I added the 31 grains or 90 grains to the tip weight to calculate the FOC according to the goldtip site.
Do yall prefer a FOC of 15 or 20?

Colonel,
Here's my setup:
GT II's
110 grain Brass Inserts
2" blazers
4" arrow wraps
100 Grain Wasp or Muzzy BH's
Luminok
They weigh in about 410 grains and fly extremely accurate, I don't get caught up in all that scientific FOC stuff, I use trial and error. My broadheads shoot better than than 1" groups out to fifty yards so I am happy. The Luminok is a great addition also.
