Post by dick195252 »

My Wife and i would like to have support and Prayers from you all. Our Son is being deployed for his last year to Afghanistan and it is going to be a real tough year. Corey was wounded in a Fire fight in Iraq on his tour there and it was one of the worst and hardest times in our lives, Now will be the second War tour for him and we are Terrified of what this year could bring. Thank You All Dick & Loretta

Dick
I have a son in the military also. He has been to Iraq twice, plus Kuwait, Afhganistan, Africa and is now somewplace where we don't know. He's been wounded twice. My wife and eye are always fearful of seeing an US Amry car pulllling into the driveway with the news he has been killed or captured!! His job is anti/counter terrison. We never know where he is until he gets back. The stress is a daily thing we deal with. It's tough being the parents of a warrior!!

I can truely understand what you are going through! You have me thoughts and sympathy. I'll making an offering to the Great Spirit for you, your wife and your son.

You are in my thoughts. I was lucky, my only son chose the Air force and stayed stateside his entire tour. But I was the one being thought of.
The joy of coming home to a 2 week old daughter made it all worth while for me.

Dick, I sympathize with your stress and situation. Children are the only true miracle in ones life, they are precious treasures. My thoughts are with you and your family.

I will pray for your son daily as I do for all our troops. My Son in law is in Afghanistan now and my daughter is to give birth to my first grand daughter in September. He already did a tour in Iraq.

My nephew currently lives in my basement after 2 tours in Iraq. He was discharged due to torn rotator cuffs in both sholders requiring surgery. He has just joined the Excalibur family and has a Vortex on the way.

I also have 2 nephews in the marines and another 2 in the Army the are deployed.

So lots of prayers for all our troops and the family's they leave worrying at home.

I read this prayer not long ago and I offer it for those who are serving to keep us SAFE and their families~!

Dear God

This prayer that I say tonight
Is for our troops who must fight
These are the troops that we all love
And so I pray dear lord above
Please keep them safe while their away
And bring them home to us someday

This prayer is not for ours alone
But for all military far from home
I ask that you keep them safe and sound
On their way to where they’re bound
We love them all that are asked to fight
So keep them safe for us tonight

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands
Protect them as they protect us
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts
They perform for us in our time of need~!

I'm an Army dad too. My soldier is in AIT and isn't going anywhere until mid-September at earliest. My prayers are with all our men and women in the service and their families, but I'll be sure to give your family special mention.
