Greetings from Perth Australia,

Post by gruntahunta »

Hi all, i have finaly made it on here, after about 8 mounths of reading lots of info and buying an Excalibur Phoenix now i can share a little more of the experience when it comes to hunting with a weapon that is such a joy to use. I haven't been succsesful yet at taking a wild boar with my Excal though I have taken a few with a rifle but with the little use my Excal has had I sure can relate to a lot of you guys that seem to me to be hunting/Excalibur addicts, like me.
I sure do envy you guys with the amount of game you have. I get to hunt hogs about an hour from home and need to travel about 8 hours north to hunt goats and there is a few rabbits and fox's around but hunting Bear and Deer would be awesome.

I look forward to reading all your posts come deer season.

Woh!!!you really live from the other part of the world

I have some questions if you want to answer me:
How is hunting laws in yuor country?
Is it allowed with xbow?
Do you need a licence?
Is xbow considered as an arm or an item for sporting?

Welcome to the BEST forum around. I visited Sidney twice, once as a polliwog and once as a shell back. Crossed that old Equator twice on th water, and now I know what a real Crossbow looks like too. Welcome and good hunting.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome

mercyfulfate, I'm from the eastern suburbs at the base of the hills in Maida Vale.

ManX, Hunting here in W.A. can only be done on private property and we can only hunt feral animals from rabbits to camel and I do believe it is allowed with a crossbow as you can buy the equipment to do so easily without a licence, as far as I know a xbow is a controlled weapon that authorities are still looking at changing there classification, having said all that i still need to ring the authorities to make some enquiries myself one day.
hunting isn't that big in the west but over east you can hunt deer, goats and pigs in some of the national parks and public land but only with a permit.

thanks again guys.

Surely there must be something to hunt near the hills? I'm around the guildford area myself, there's jack down here! How long have you had your xbow for? Have you taken it for a shoot yet?

Oh and welcome to the forums! :D
