SEDALIA, Mo. – A hunter bagged a big buck on the second day of firearms season, but the kill caused him a lot of pain. Randy Goodman, 49, said he thought two well-placed shots with his .270-caliber rifle had killed the buck on Nov. 19. Goodman said the deer looked dead to him, but seconds later the nine-point, 240-pound animal came to life.

The buck rose up, knocked Goodman down and attacked him with his antlers in what the veteran hunter called "15 seconds of hell." The deer ran a short distance and went down, and died after Goodman fired two more shots.

Soon Goodman started feeling dizzy and noticed his vest was soaked in blood.

So he reached his truck and drove to a hospital, where he received seven staples in his scalp and was treated for a slight concussion and bruises.

deer can be some nasty critters fer sure....i have or had a mag that had deer attack stories in it that made the hair on my neck stand straight up on end....i'll have to see if i still have it and scan some stories or just post some i remember, scary stuff...............bob

There is no doubt in my mind that a deer could lay a beating on a guy if it set it's mind on it.
There was a video floating around a while back with a hunter getting mauled by one, pretty funny stuff, from this side of the computer screen.

YEA try ropin one and youll be lucky to live thru it thats for sure...Thats why I hunt from the tree tops right there...and when it comes to walkin up on the dead evil creature I throw rocks from a distance first..NOW wearing doe pee on you to get closer----dont think so boys---I mean I want my deer sausage but I dont want NO deer sausage !
