I went to pull some stands today and checked this camera on the way out and this little buck had walked by. I had 64 photos in 2 weeks and all were of deer. But this was the only decent buck, the other 50 photos were all doe. This should be a dandy this year. Pretty good mass on his left beam between the G2 and 3. Im hoping his tines get longer and grow towards each other in the center. He's going on the hitlist for 09
I'm like a kid in a candy factory with these cameras. Its amazing knowing whats walking out there that you dont see. I hunted that place he's in pretty hard and never had a clue he was there. Maybe he's just moving into that area I hope. But I had a stand about 75 yards straight ahead where he is going. Needless to say, I'll have one there again for this year.
so far so good.. the Cuddeback Capture is doing well.

Where is this strange magical land where the bucks still carry their antlers and the ground is not covered in white?

What part of Virginia? I live in Salem and am the proud new owner of an Exomax. Do most of my hunting in Roanoke and Bedford counties.
We are classified as Southerners by most, yet we are cold right now like everyone else.

Good to know. I have traveled up that way a bit to some locations. I prefer the mountains. I'm near the E-W line so I can take advantage of the East of the Blue Ridge regulations (extra buck tag plus two a day). Grew up way out in SW Va. so I talk more like someone from GA. or AL. than your part of Va.
Pretty arrows you are making by the way.....or are they bolts? Still pretty.
Wouldn't have any speed figures for 450 and 500 grain total weight out of an Exomax would you?
Later,

Later,
no speed ratings, but with the FF string I would imagine 310's... Im sure the slower strings would be in the 300 range.. could be more, could be less

I'm intimately familiar with and have deep connections with Tazewell County and lots of folks in the Burke's Garden / Clear Fork area. Were you from anywhere near there, Bomtek?

Grizzly Adam,
Did grow up in Tazewell County...the Southern edge (Tannersville) or known to some as Poor Valley.....half way between Tazewell and Saltville. I know Burkes Garden well.
