Point well taken. In truth, there is no "real" need !! Touting speed, is an effective means of putting extra cash in the pockets of those who can convince the less than knowledgable public that the extra speed will improve performance and increase success.
The truth be known, more is better only to a certain point, as a "Bell Curve" clearly illustrates, beyond that point there is only sharply diminishing returns.
