Needless to say I have been watching this post with some interest. Always looking to make a better mouse trap. The problem I had with crocket&boons quote is you have to have the mount high enough to see under it with the scope. From what I can tell with munch,s is it will be about the same as mine but alot more decorative. Cudos to the incorporatioin of the excal logo and broadhead slots. But as far as function though from what I can tell is it will be identical to the groundpounder.Crockett&boon Posted: Thu Jan 22, 2009 1:50 am Post subject:

Sure hope you did your homework and you are not infringing on any copyright laws. I would think a big company could put you in the poor house if someone figures you are breaking a law. I for one will not buy one cause I believe it is not original idea. I. In short sure hope you did you homework first. I got sued for selling used licenced Harley Davidson patchs on a shopping cart on my website. Did it not to be serious just to learn to build a shopping cart. I won the lawsuit but it consumed months of my time.

I doubt Groundpounder has taken the steps needed to copyright his design, the market is way too small to worry about that kind of stuff.
I seem to be getting a partial photo, but if it uses the same drilled holes, same style pillars with the only change being the shape where the quiver mounts then it is a copy of a Groundpounder.
I highly doubt anyone would do that on this forum. You guys must be seeing a different picture than me.

If you are not willing to learn, nobody can help you, if you are willing, nobody can stop you.

Once you establish a product . . .decor improvement is the next logical step.groundpounder wrote:From what I can tell with munch,s is it will be about the same as mine but alot more decorative.
It would be almost impossible to get a patent on a mount . . .any simple design has pretty much already been patented or incorporated into someone's patent. Been there . . .done that. The end product doesn't even have to be used for the same purpose . . .a dinner plate and a fresbie have the same design, thus are inclusive on the same patent.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

I think wheelie is talking about Excaliburs Copyrights and Trademark. One can definetly be sued over these without permission from Excalibur Inc.
One person understood what I am saying anyways

"...this one will be made in CANADA just like your bow." I assume you are talking about shipping cost but your last four words make me wonder.
