Survivorman hunting!
Hey guys, I am not sure who all saw it but Les Stroud, the Survivorman did an episode where he was surviving near Temagami with a friend. It was setup as if they were hunting and got lost for 7 days, I really enjoyed it. It brought in the 3 shots rule, keeping whistles on you and how dangerous trusting your instincts over the instrumetns can be.
Anyone else catch the show last night?

I once tried the 3-shot signal with my Excalibur. Nobody came to rescue meFox wrote:Hey guys, I am not sure who all saw it but Les Stroud, the Survivorman did an episode where he was surviving near Temagami with a friend. Well I've had my cottage there for twenty years and know exactly how bad the terrain can be. Ask my back! Seriously though, it is the most beautiful place I've found and wouldn't trade it for nothing. And the hills, valley's and forest's are second to none. A lot of survivor show's are taped there, and for good reason.

I hear ya. The other survivor guy is kind of humorous to watch. He walks through land that he says is too hard to live through, grunting through every step, fighting his way to his destination.. Meanwhile the camera guy is walking beside him the whole time.Skarek wrote:I love Survisorman. Really good TV. I can recommend all episodes to everyone. It is nice that surviving on tv is for once is done the real way, not just good fake tv-survival and then a helicopter back to the hotel all other survivor programs I have seen.

Love Survivorman, can't stand the idiot on Man vs. Wild (Bear). If you are near a filming of Man vs Wild you might just meet Bear in town one evening at your local restaurant for dinner Started having to have the disclaimer at the beginning of the show after that happened And if you watch him being washed down a river in an episode with whatever his constucted floatation method you can see his life jacket on under his shirt And why would I jump off this cliff when I can simply walk around? Can you tell I'm not a fan of Bear?
Why ride when you can walk!
