Well Mike P,..I'm deeply saddened for you. I find trophy hunters of your ilk to be exceedingly shirking in their actions.
Even though I'm sure you probably donate all the meat to the needy, think about taking responsibility for one's hungry place in the natural world and reconnect.
Being in the woods hunting every fall is as spiritual and connecting a pastime as you will ever find, and Venison is one of the finest sources of organic, unadultrated, lean protiens we can put on our family's plates.

You do? Wow. That's a pretty wide brush your painting with. There are hunters of my "ilk" hunting all kinds of species of game in Africa and they are donating all of the meat to indigenous people to eat. Are you deeply saddened for Bill Troubridge because he didn't eat his elephant? Or do you just draw the line at venison. Would you like to take a shot at any coon hunters that might just stumble upon this forum as well? They must be "shirking" as well for not cooking up some coon pot pie. Do you know how ridiculous your statements here appear?

Ahhh man, I must have really lost my way. Apparently I am not taking responsibility for my hungry place. Please see last line in the prior paragraph.
Apple_Orchard wrote: Being in the woods hunting every fall is as spiritual and connecting a pastime as you will ever find
No kidding. And here I thought those 100 days this past year I spent in the woods pursuing a whitetail were akin to visiting a new car showroom. You will never convince me sir that you are spiritual in any way, shape or form based on recent posts you placed here in this forum. Quite the contrary.

Apple_Orchard wrote:Get in touch with our Primordial past.
And you sir need to get in touch with the present. Despite a request from the moderator of this forum you continue to display your avatar in defiance.

Please note the date and time the thread "Sales Pitch" was posted. You will find that the time is prior to your first post here in this thread. If you would have read that thread you would not have to speculate about the actions I take with any game I harvest.

Apple Orchard, I can tell you that hunter's of my "ilk" hold misinformed, zealous and self-serving individuals such as you in disdain. I didn't speak up the last time you placed your dribble to print here on the forum. I thought maybe you would have seen from the flavor of the responses you received that you were in a very clear minority position. And now you take a position if one does not personally eat the animal that he kills he is "shirking" in his actions. And you attempt to justify this position with some primordial spiritual nonsense.

Be very careful with your rebuttal Apple Orchard. It is one thing to slam me, sax, Boo or other members of the forum. But to continue to support your position you have to tell Bill T to eat his elephant.

Do you think you really want to go there?

Hey Mikey P,

No, I don't generally read your posts as they tend to be extremely long winded and chocked full of hubris.

Also, if you had been paying attention instead of watching your ego and your head growing too big to fit through the garage door, you would have taken note that the title of wabi's thread is "who eats deer meat????????" :)

As well, let's try to stay on topic and not obfuscate excessively. You seem to be running a bit tangent to the curve. :?

Take care and watch that head when passing through doors.

Kindest Regards,

Apple Orchard . . .you would be eating veggies. How successful would you be at killing a deer without fanged teeth and claws? Man in his primordial state would look rather silly trying to get some meat. Ask Hoss about roping a deer.

Well, that is about the type of rebuttal I expected from this troll.

They never can directly address the issues that are placed in front of them; they resort to nonsensical dribble when they are taken to task.

We can only hope this child will go back and hide under the bridge where he lives.

At least if nothing else this moron has changed the avatar.

Quite frankly I am amused that someone that calls the Excalibur forum management hommos is still here trolling for arguments.
