Sims limbsavers
From a new member...
I saw a Ted Nugent clip on YouTube where he was installing Sims limbsavers and string leeches on his excalibur crossbow. I see from your posts that there are a lot skilled crossbow shooters on this forum who have some creative techniques for vibration dampening and silencing. What are your opinions on the Sims products??

limbsavers
Welcome to the forum ibexshooter.
I could never keep limbsavers on my limbs or string.
It slings them off. I have some on the rail and on the groundpounder
quiver mount. I even put one under my cheek rest on the stock,
but there's too much force in the limbs. Boo sells custom strings
with string whiskers in them. Everyone says they work real good.

I have some on my V-bar absorber but thats it.
I am guilty of it but I think trying to silence a crossbow is like trying to polish a turd,it just don't work.
My next bow will most likely have no extra dampening devices on it at all sans the DP bars and Boo string
