Ten Point takes 2nd and 5th at IBO World's
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All,
Just to let you know I enjoyed the Defender CLS, and it shot very well. If I could ask this bow to do one thing for me it would be tell me the yardage. I like the balance, and the feel. The Excal guys were impressed with the low noise.
Pierre (from Canada) had a Ten Point also in his 5th place finish. I remember it being a Phantom I think.
For what it is worth, Excal took 1, 3, and 4. Ten Point 2 and 5, the new Darton Lightening (370 +) took 6 and 7, and Horton was last.

Thanks for the results dw.
Excal always wins one way or another.
Nothing against Ten Point, except prices.
These are the only two brands I would ever buy, so far.
EXCAL.! EXCAL!EXCAL!

Tell me about it. I was reading a gear review last night for the new Ten Point bow. The price they had listed (granted, it was retail, but...) was right at $2,000. Someone can get 2 fully tricked out Excalibur Equinoxes for that.John wrote:Nothing against Ten Point, except prices.

Important an issue as money is, for me, ease of maintenance ranks up there too.Big58cal wrote:John wrote:Nothing against Ten Point, except prices.
Using a press I made I can literally change stings on my Excals in 1 minute.
Using the Stringer takes a couple of minutes longer. No cables to mess with, no cams ... and the Flemish string is easier to make too. I enjoy my compound too - it met my need for speed...which proved to less an issue than I thought it to be - but shoot the Excals much more often, and dread having to service the former.
