see were brace height is.most of the rods have to be cut down just a little.i had to cut mine down a 1/4" ,other wise over top line.you can be just touching the line,it should not matter.is your serving the full distance of the sts.

No, the serving is inside the sts, the string damage is outside the serving

you should be served the full area of sts.even on compound bows it always recomended to serve the area.all my compound custom strings had it done.also on the boo string it is served there.i think its to much pounding that string,JIM

Mike, Dacron is very weak compared to Dynflight or the string material that I use. In regards to setting up your STS cut the rods so that you cannot see the rods that hold the STS or put some stiff rubber tubing under the bumpers. The end result you want is that when the string hits the bumper it is supported by the rod as well as the outside of the bumper. Failing to do so will allow the outside of the rubber to come down allowing only the center of the rubber to take the impact. That will dramatically shorten the life of the bumper. Without it the bumpers are cut on the first dry-fire. If you have any questions on this please call me.

I had the same problem. Last year put the STS on with my Boo string and the bumpers were not only touching the string, they were actually holding them out a little.
THis year I cut my STS rods so that when I slip my bumpers on, you can't even see the rods. Now they sit 1/8 of an inch off the string or so and will still give me the benefits of the STS.
I used a dremmel tool to cut it and it worked awesome.
