Are there any members from SE Ontario going to Al's Corner Store tonight for their big open house / sale event? I'll be there around 6:30 hopefully. I'll be wearing my Excal 25th anniversary hat and a red "support the troops" shirt and I'll have that glazed look in my eyes like the proverbial kid in the candy store.
This will not be a good night for the bank account but I should have everything I need for the hunt by the time I leave. Speaking of which, is it me or is this year more expensive than most others for gearing up? In my case I've been all over the map with my hunting / shooting expenses since we're shooting a lot of skeet, tweaking the Excaliburs, getting into fletching, getting the old compound out and updating it, re-scoping my old rifle, a 12 yo son that can shoot a flat of .22s in an afternoon - every afternoon and who now wants a 30-30, and I'm possibly getting a new shotgun tonight. Make that "probably". It seems that this year I am a one man stimulus package for the hunting manufacturers / shops. Just don't tell my wife.
