Got a Buck (almost had it stolen)
Friday evening I decided to hunt one of my buddies ravine stands. It hadn't been used for a while so things grew pretty wild. I still had a few shooting lanes though. At six oclock a buck appeared out of nowhere without a sound. It was missing an antler. I only had about 10 seconds to shoot it before the cover was just too thick. I shot and he bolted but I heard him crash really quick. He only went about thirty yards. After I dragged him to the top of the ravine I went back for help from someone I know with an ATV. when we got nearly to where I shot it a truck comes driving out of the field and almost hit us. Three guys are in it and they stop next to us and ask if we're looking for a deer. I said I know where my deer is, we're just going to get it. They told me they found it and were looking for me to give it to me. They just happened to have it in the back of their truck. They had already gutted it. . We grabbed it out of their truck while they were still bullshitting us. They shouldn't be hunting there in the first place and then one of the guys tells me he was hunting 30 yds away from me. What kind of losers steal another persons deer? We figured out that they heard us coming on the AtV and tried to hightail it out of there. If we would have been 5 minutes later my deer would have been gone. Sorry for the long post but I had to vent.
Congrats on your deer and the double recovery!
What a low-down, nervy, ignorant thing to do to try to steal a deer!

I say, give them the benefit of a doubt. Should of thanked them for gutting it for you. Did they tag it for you too?
Congrats on the buck! Got pictures?

Man that stinks . I would have been ill myself but as Sumner said, at least they field dressed him and brought him out of the woods . Seroisly, I'm glad that you got your deer. Did you leave them with the impression that you weren't buying into their BS and knew what was going down?
God Bless !!!!!!!!!
