Amazing what you can find in the bush in September . Have to be careful scouting new territory in 'cropping season'. Outdoor grows are becoming more and more booby trapped with bear traps, etc...
Wonder if those beavers are suffering any depth perception problems... Many candy bar wrappers around?
reminds me of a joke......A squirrel and a mouse were talking by the tree one morning and the squirrel said. ' I think Im going to roll a big fat dooby and smoke it". The mouse said " can I smoke it with you?" "Sure " said the squirrel. After token there brains out and getting fried the mouse says " i got cotton mouth Im going down to the pond and getting a drink" The mouse climbs down the tree and goes down to the pond and gets a drink. While hes there the beaver swims up and says " hey what have you been doing your eyes look like road maps?" I smoked a big doobie with the squirrel' says the mouse. The beaver says "do you think he has any more to smoke?" "I bet go ask him" says the squirrel. The beaver waddles on up thru the woods and finds the squirrel munchin<--- on some nuts. The squirrel looks at him with a puzzled look and says " Dam dude how much water did you drink"?"
I had to check the author first - I expected it to be DutchHunter!

You're not dense. I had to look close. I think they show bags that were used as planters to grow pot - handy to have them in the edge of the pond so they don't need to water them. Those beavers were industrious.

Ahhhh.... I see. I've grown about everything except pot... makes perfect sense. Park them in the back woods, they never need water... less trips to check on them and less chance getting caught. Thanks for clearing that up VixChix.
While out trapping beaver this weekend my son and I also walked onto a grow op in a swamp. We both found it strange that a couple of trees fell across a trail we use quite often.
About 100 plants lining the large swamp. Called the tips line and gave them the coordinates from the GPS. I am sure the fuzz will have it chopped down by my trip back out to the bush to check traps tomorrow morning.
I don't care if people want to grow a few plants by a swamp but it irks me if they leave a big mess behind. It also burns me when they steal my truck so they can go bush wacking to plant their crops like they did a couple of years ago.
If anyone comes upon a grow op in the bush be careful! More and more often the guys are booby-trapping the area.
