That is a great buck Ray.You have my congratulations.I sure enjoyed reading the story of your great hunt.I also harvested a nice eleven pointer the same day you got yours. I was using my Excalibur Vortex. I had a great morning also and God blessed us both that day.
Thanks for adding the update to your original post It had me all choked up. So glad you had the chance to experience that hunt and that you shared it with us all here!

I'm still stoked guys and gals. So many close calls, mistakes on my part, and bad luck over the years but on Friday afternoon shortly after lunch, God blessed me with a fine trophy. With the Texas hunt coming up in a few short weeks, I wasn't sure if I would mount him but after some thought and praying, I dropped him off at the taxidermist's studio this afternoon . Harvesting this buck has brought a tremendous amount joy and excitement to my life, just think how tore up I'm going to be in Texas next month, seeing an average of 30-40 bucks a day . Again, I know exactly where Tyler got his "Buck Fever Affliction" from .
Deer hunting is a compendium of learning. You can go everyday of every season, and if you pay attention, you will learn something every single time you go. If I did not get a thrill every time I even think I see a deer, I would stay at the house.
