tried to plant wheat today

Post by crazyfarmer »

welp I got roughly 30 acres planted before the bottom dropped out....

I think the pictures say it all. Ended up ripping off the steps under the cab. I had plenty power to keep spinning but after digging down about 4ft to the bottom I couldnt move. Tried unhooking from the planter to get out but no luck. Tried using another tractor of ours but not enough grip to get me moving. So we called in the big guns. After about 2 hours waiting she was out and ready to go again. This is the first time ive had this 4x4 stuck. I guess it was a little wet after 8inches of rain this weekend still :P

ok, time for a little laugh :P

Hey CF .. Been there many times growing up.

Is this the part where I can poke a little fun at the type of tractor used to pull the other out?? Or would that be too much~!

Glad you got her out and underway again ..

Wasn't that just a bit hasty, Crazy ... hitting the field so soon after so much rain? Wouldn't work here!

Sometimes a man has to try, though, huh? 8)

I happen to like John Deere and I don't own a tractor or farm.
But where I hunt the landowner owns 2 John Deere tractors and the little one (650) is perfect for hauling out deer. With the carrier he made for it this summer I haven't had to drag a deer over 15' so far this year.
